Somatic therapy in Portland, Oregon
A body-based approach to release stress, heal embodied trauma, and come home to yourself.
This work goes far beyond talking.
I offer body-mind integrated healing that meets your experience where it actually lives — in your body. Your nervous system is the throughline of your life. It holds your survival patterns, your belief systems, and the protective responses you learned long before you had words for them.
With the BE ME Framework as our foundation, we cultivate nervous system resiliency from the inside out — across the Body, Emotional, Mental, and Essence realms of BEing — tapping the innate wisdom of your body to rewire survival patterns and cultivate inner safety.
From there, something opens — a felt sense of calm, connection, clarity, and authenticity that doesn't just change how you think about your life. It changes how you embody and live it.
People come to this work carrying many things — chronic pain, anxiety, depression, autoimmune disease, embodied trauma, or simply an intuition that there is more aliveness available than what they're currently living. Whatever brings you here, the body is where we begin.
How I work with you
My approach blends somatic therapy with trauma‑aware practices, using your body as our guide. Together, we:
Cultivate safety in your nervous system
Everything begins here. Before insight, before change, before anything else — your nervous system needs to know it's safe. We gently down-shift stress responses so you can arrive, settle, and be present with what's actually here.
Tune into body sensations
Your body is always speaking. Together we witness what its been holding, learn to track its signals — the tension, the pain, the subtle shifts in breath and posture — and attune to what your nervous system is telling us beneath the surface of thought.
Release stuck patterns
Survival stratagies, chronic tension, and unresolved stress don't respond to willpower. They respond to presence. Through somatic practices, TRE®, and mindful awareness, we gently unwind and release what the body has been carrying.
Rewrite your lived experience
This is where lasting change takes root. Over time you begin to experience your life from a place of felt safety, inner clarity, self-compassion, and authentic confidence — not just as an idea, but as a living, embodied truth.
Witness a somatic coaching session where I integrate TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and RCS (Recreation of Self) approaches.

FAQ
-
Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing that recognizes the nervous system as central to how we experience stress, emotion, trauma, and connection.
Rather than trying to think our way out of patterns, somatic therapy is about attuning to the body’s signals, sensations, tension patterns, posture, breath, and movement to support change and cultivate healing from the inside out.
At its heart, this work is about remembering how to be — and allowing the body to lead the way.
-
My work is grounded in nervous-system literacy, decades of hands-on clinical experience, and a deep respect for pacing, choice, and safety.
Rather than pushing, fixing, or talking around what the body already knows, we create the conditions for your nervous system to settle, reorganize, and reconnect with its own innate wisdom.
From there, clarity, ease, and authentic alignment often emerge naturally — without force.
-
Somatic therapy can be supportive for:
Chronic stress and burnout
Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
Trauma and unresolved life experiences
Feeling disconnected, shut down, or “on edge”
Life transitions, grief, or identity shifts
Feeling stuck despite insight or mindset work
Many people come not because something is “wrong,” but because they sense there’s more aliveness, ease, and authenticity available.
-
Not at all. While my work is trauma-informed, you don’t need a trauma history to benefit from somatic therapy.
This work is equally supportive for people who want to feel more grounded, present, embodied, and connected to themselves.
-
Sessions are collaborative and relational. We may explore subtle shifts in posture, breath, sensation, or movement, while noticing how your nervous system responds in real time.
There is no forcing or catharsis. We follow what your body is ready for, supporting regulation and integration at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
-
Yes. Safety is foundational to my work. A trauma-informed somatic approach prioritizes consent, nervous-system pacing, and your sense of agency.
You are always in choice, and we move only as quickly as your system allows.
-
Yes. I offer in-person somatic therapy and body-based coaching in Portland, at my studio in the Pearl District (402 NW 12th Avenue).
In person, I’m able to offer hands-on, body-based interventions when appropriate, which can support nervous system regulation, alignment, and embodied awareness in ways that aren’t possible online.
-
Yes. I offer online somatic coaching and have worked deeply with clients across the U.S., including long-term, impactful work with clients in places like New York City.
While I’m a big fan of in-person work, online sessions can be highly effective and are designed to support nervous-system regulation, embodied awareness, and integration over time.
-
If you’ve done insight-based or mindset work and still feel stuck …
If your body feels like it’s living in high gear — or shut down …
If you’re longing to feel more at home in yourself …Somatic therapy may be a supportive next step. You don’t need to know exactly why — just that something in you feels curious, ready, or drawn toward a different way in.
